- Free

Oliver John Ruthven & Simon Lloyd (Keyboards)

Music for keyboards from the early baroque by Franz Tunder, Girolamo Frescobaldi and Johann Jakob Froberger

Franz Tunder was not only a great composer for the voice, but also wrote a significant body of keyboard music. As with his vocal writing, he was heavily influenced by Italian style, especially that of the great trendsetter of the manuals, Girolamo Frescobaldi. Tunder’s direct contemporary Johann Jakob Frohberger is widely acknowledged as the inventor of the Baroque keyboard suite.

Join two of the UK’s finest young Baroque scholars, Oliver John Ruthven and Simon Lloyd for this fascinating journey through the vibrant and colourful keyboard music of this fascinating musical period.
